We both LOVE The Great Gatsby! We wanted to throw an amazing party for our family and friends that they would never forget, so why not take a page from The Gatsby himself? Our colors were black, gold, and ivory. Accessories were by PARIS by Debra Moreland, Honey Rose & K custom back necklace, Henri Bendel, and Christian Louboutin pumps. She could not have squeezed one more shiny object on her body between her Jenny Packham beaded gown, her headpiece or accessories. The vintage Studebaker getaway car was a surprise for Jared! Jared also surprised Avery with a McKenzie Child’s (her mom’s favorite) ring holder while she was getting ready.Īvery‘s bridesmaids all wore Black, floor-length Rachel Zoe gowns with custom back necklaces by Honey Rose & K. The groomsmen all wore sharp black tuxedos from trusty Men’s Wearhouse.Īvery wanted to do a mix between old Hollywood glamour and the glitz of Great Gatsby. It was such an amazing memory we will always share together–take it all in! We have to admit it was often the part of the day we thought about least during planning. The actual ceremony was the most memorable part of the day. We wanted our wedding day to be a celebration full of love, family and friends and that is exactly what we got! ![]() Making sure we had FUN was important! We didn’t want the memory of the most special day of our lives to be bogged down in the details of planning. Photographer Rouxby captured every detail of the couple’s wedding beautifully, including some really special ways that the couple honored the bride’s late mother. Avery and Jared have always loved The Great Gatsby, so they blended inspiration from their favorite Roaring Twenties icon with their own modern details! This Columbus Museum of Art wedding featured décor like a majestic ice sculpture, a classic black, gold, and ivory color palette, and larger-than-life floral installations. ![]()
